PTA is no longer a noun.
It’s a verb—an action plan working to support your child’s success.
There’s no wrong way to PTA. However you do it, it’s all an investment in your child. PTA to support your child’s teachers and curriculum. PTA to advocate on the issues impacting your child and affect change at the local, state and national levels. PTA to build a stronger, more diverse and inclusive school community.
We invite every family to PTA, because we can do more together than apart.
On behalf of the LHS PTSA Board, we would like to welcome students and families to the 2023 -2024 school year.
Lassiter HS PTSA membership is open to anyone who believes in the Mission and Purposes of the National Parent Teacher Association. Every person who joins a local PTA automatically becomes a member of both state and national PTA. Together we are a powerful voice for children and with your help, we can continue to work toward PTA's goal of quality education and nurturing environment for every child.
With Go Day on Thursday, we strongly encourage everyone in the Lassiter family - teachers, parents, and students – to become members of the Lassiter PTSA. Dues are only $7.00 per person. The bigger the membership, the stronger our voice.
Please consider donating to the PTSA. We support many programs and events throughout the school year such as Trumpet Blast, New Student Breakfast, Reflections talent search, Red-E Week, Black History Month events, Teacher mini-grants, College Scholarships for Seniors, Honors Night, Spring Carnival, Student Achievement & Incentives, Staff Appreciation Week, Anti-Texting and Driving Awareness, Health and Wellness support, Guest Speaking Engagements and more. In order to pay for all of these programs, Lassiter PTSA must raise money to fund them. In place of traditional fundraising for the 2023-2024 school year, we are asking families for a one-time voluntary donation in the amount of $36.00 (included in the PTSA Bundle) Lassiter PTSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible!

BYLAWS AMENDMENT NOTICE
Dues will increase in October. Please join us on August 24th for our first General Membership Meeting. Items on the agenda include an overview and adoption of our annual budget and an amendment to our existing bylaws. Our Lassiter PTSA would like to amend our bylaws to increase our annual dues for individual members from $7 to $10. This change is due to GA PTA raising the amount of our dues that is sent to the state, a proposed National dues increase, and an increase in the cost of programming and supplies. This increase would put our school dues in line with the majority of schools in ECCC PTA and East Cobb. The increase will also help ensure that more of your membership dues stay with Lassiter so PTSA can continue to provide programs and events that our students, families, and faculty rely on.
We are so excited to see new and returning Trojans at Go Day, on Thursday, July 20 from 9 am - 2 pm (drop-in). Please see the additional information below. View the flyer in PDF format to access online payment links.
