Dear Lassiter Family:
Ms. Lloyd is a Science teacher at Lassiter High School. On October 26, the Lloyd’s sweet 4 ½ month old baby was hospitalized. You can read Caroline’s story and donate to help the Lloyd family in the link below. You can also drop off gas cards or gift cards with Ms. Beaverson at the front office of Lassiter.

Parents have many questions about COVID-19 symptoms. Here is the criteria we use when evaluating students
1 or more symptoms
2 or more symptoms
- Fever (100.4 or higher)
- *Cough (new uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing, for students with chronic allergic/asthmatic cough, a change in their cough from baseline)
- Shortness of breath
- Difficulty Breathing
- Sore throat
- Runny nose/congestion
- Chills/shaking or exaggerated shivering
- New lack of smell or taste
- Muscle pain
- Nausea or vomiting
- Fever (99.5-100.4)
If a student fits this criterion, exclude from school, and contact your health care provider for guidance. Please contact the school nurse for individual questions or concerns.
Please review this powerpoint and contact the school nurse for questions or concerns. One way that you can help to decrease the potential for exposure, is to assure that your student carries their own self-care supplies. Students can be self-sufficient by carrying such items such as feminine products, band aids, lotion, contact solution and case, braces wax, lip balm, water/ water bottle, tissues, etc. Of course, the clinic will still be available for emergency first aid, illnesses, scheduled and PRN medications, and students with chronic conditions.

This is a different year and we are going to create a unique yearbook filled with content provided by our entire community. The Lassiter Yearbook Staff needs your help. We are creating pages on a variety of topics and we want to include you! Please click on the topics below to fill in a google form to upload pictures and answer a few short questions. Please fill in the form by Friday, November 13. I know the turnaround is quick and I appreciate your willingness to help us! Please do not feel obligated to participate in all topics - even 1 or 2 would be great! While it would be great for the picture to show your student engaged in the particular activity, we will take whatever you think will work.

Outdoors (Walking, Yardwork, Parks, Effects of Being Outside, Gardening)

The Lassiter Fencing Club would like to invite any students interested in joining the Fencing team to please complete the online registration form using this link:
Lassiter High School Fencing Club Registration Form
The registration form is for new and returning fencers. You should fill out the form even if you are not yet sure you will be joining the team. There is no obligation and we are not yet collecting club fees. By having you all fill out the form, we’ll get an idea of the number of interested participants so that we can make better-informed plans. Also, by signing up you will get the latest information on the club as it becomes available. For more information, please visit our website at www.lassiterfencing.org
All students who plan to try out for Lassiter Tennis should complete this Google Doc and return it to Coach Hicks (boys) or Coach Christopher (girls) by December 11th. Also, remember to upload your physical information on to ParentVue.
Lassiter Food Pantry FOOD DRIVE
Thank you for your continued support!
Our next distribution will be in December 7th.
Please help us stock the pantry for this upcoming distribution!
NEW--- You can now electronically track your service hours through a program called X2VOL linked to Naviance. If students complete 200 hours of community service before graduation they will receive a service cord to wear during the graduation ceremony. 100 hours need to be associated with Lassiter (there can be more) and the rest can be from an outside organization. Please see the powerpoint presentation and video for more information

It's not too late to join the Lassiter PTSA!
Even though this year will look different than what we are all used to, the PTSA will still be working hard to support our students and staff.
We will be focusing on the emotional and physical health by providing outreach and supplementing funds to cover the cost of PPE and other health and safety needs in the school.
In order to do this, we need your help - please follow the link below to join the PTSA and/or make a donation (all donations are tax-deductible).
Please contact us with any questions!
